Microsoft y el Ministerio Público de la Provincia de Buenos Aires firman el primer acuerdo de colaboración en Inteligencia Artificial para la justicia en Latinoamérica

El objetivo de la alianza es establecer un marco normativo y avanzar tanto en la incorporación de tecnología de IA como en capacitaciones para los funcionarios judiciales. Este acuerdo representa un hito en la región, marcando un precedente en la transformación digital del sector público judicial.

Buenos Aires, Argentina – Microsoft Argentina y el Ministerio Público de la Provincia de Buenos Aires anunciaron la firma de un acuerdo marco de colaboración en inteligencia artificial (IA), el primero en su tipo en Latinoamérica, con el objetivo de impulsar la transformación digital y la innovación en el sistema de justicia provincial a través de tecnologías de IA. Este convenio sienta las bases para una cooperación estratégica orientada a fortalecer la alfabetización digital, la formación en habilidades tecnológicas y el acceso a herramientas de IA de última generación para el sector judicial.

El acuerdo, firmado por el Sr. Procurador General de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Dr. Julio M. Conte-Grand, y por el Gerente General de Microsoft Argentina, Sebastian Aveille, establece una alianza inédita que permitirá desarrollar programas de capacitación, promover el uso responsable y ético de la inteligencia artificial y fomentar la innovación y la productividad en el ámbito judicial. Ambas instituciones trabajarán conjuntamente en iniciativas de formación digital, intercambio de conocimiento y desarrollo de proyectos orientados a mejorar la calidad del trabajo y empoderar a los profesionales del sistema de justicia.

En este sentido el Sr. Procurador General de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Dr. Julio M. Conte-Grand dijo: «La firma de este convenio con Microsoft constituye un hecho de extraordinaria relevancia institucional y marca un nuevo impulso en nuestro plan de transformación digital. Esta alianza nos permitirá fortalecer la alfabetización digital de nuestros equipos, ampliar su formación en habilidades tecnológicas clave y seguir promoviendo un uso ético y estratégico de la inteligencia artificial, siempre bajo una visión humanista que ponga a las personas en el centro del sistema judicial»

Este hito se enmarca en la estrategia de adopción de Inteligencia Artificial Generativa del Ministerio Público, articulada sobre tres pilares fundamentales: un Marco Normativo y Estratégico alineado con la legislación vigente; el compromiso activo de los agentes judiciales con un uso responsable de la tecnología; y la implementación de la plataforma institucional de IA Generativa, desarrollada por la Secretaría de Innovación y Experiencia Digital sobre la infraestructura de Microsoft.

Por su parte Sebastian Aveille, Gerente General de Microsoft Argentina sostuvo: “La inteligencia artificial es una aliada fundamental para fortalecer la justicia y acercarla a las necesidades de la sociedad. Desde Microsoft reafirmamos nuestro compromiso de democratizar el acceso a la IA y acompañar a las organizaciones en el desarrollo de talento y la adopción responsable de tecnologías que impulsan la innovación y el crecimiento económico”

La firma de este acuerdo se da en un contexto histórico marcado por la acelerada transformación tecnológica que impulsa la inteligencia artificial. En Argentina, el 55% de las empresas ya utiliza IA y el 75% planea aumentar su inversión en proyectos de este tipo.

Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) now supports mounting Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) volumes to containers running as non-root users. With this launch, ECS automatically configures the EBS volume’s file system permissions to allow non-root users to read and write data securely, while preserving the root-level ownership of the volume. This enhancement simplifies security-first container deployments by removing the need for manual permission management or custom entrypoint scripts.

This feature enhances container security by allowing tasks to run as non-root users, reducing the risk of privilege escalation and unauthorized access to data. Previously, for a container in a task to write to a mounted Amazon EBS volume, it had to run as the root user. ECS now automatically manages EBS volume permissions, simplifying workflows and ensuring that all containers within a task — regardless of user ID — can securely read and write to the mounted volume.

Amazon DynamoDB Streams support for AWS PrivateLink FIPs endpoints is available with Amazon DynamoDB Streams in the US and Canada commercial AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Canada (Central), and Canada West (Calgary).

AWS IoT Greengrass is an Internet of Things (IoT) edge runtime and cloud service that helps customers build, deploy, and manage device software at the edge. The latest version 2.16 release includes enhanced debugging capabilities through the system log forwarder component. This component uploads system log files to AWS Cloud Watch, making it easier for developers to troubleshoot IoT edge applications.

The AWS IoT Greengrass v2.16 release also features a new nucleus lite version (v2.3) with TPM2.0 specification support, enabling developers to manage edge device security for their resource constrained devices using hardware-based root of trust modules. The implementation helps developers to scale their IoT deployments with confidence while providing secure storage for secrets and streamlined device authentication.

Amazon CloudFront announces cross-account support for Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) origins, enabling customers to access VPC origins that reside in different AWS accounts from their CloudFront distributions. With VPC origins, customers can have their Application Load Balancers (ALB), Network Load Balancers (NLB), and EC2 Instances in a private subnet that is accessible only through their CloudFront distributions. With the support for cross-account VPC origins in CloudFront, customers can now leverage the security benefits of VPC origins while maintaining their existing multi-account architecture.

Customers set up multiple AWS accounts for better security isolation, cost management, and compliance. Previously, customers could access origins in private VPCs from CloudFront only if CloudFront and the origin were in the same AWS account. This meant customers who had their origins in multiple AWS accounts, had to keep their accounts in public subnets to get the scale and performance benefits of CloudFront. Customers then had to maintain additional security controls, such as access control lists (ACL), at both the edge and within regions, rather than benefiting from the inherent security of VPC origins. Now, customers can use AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM) to allow CloudFront access to origins in private VPCs in different AWS accounts, both within and outside their AWS Organizations and organizational units (OUs). This streamlines security management and reduces operational complexity, making it easy to use CloudFront as the single front door for applications.

VPC origins is available in AWS Commercial Regions only, and the full list of supported AWS Regions is available here. There is no additional cost for using cross-account VPC origins with CloudFront. Crear soluciones de salud mental en conjunto

La salud mental es importante, en todas partes, para todos. Más de mil millones de personas viven con problemas de salud mental y el acceso a la atención se mantiene como uno de los mayores desafíos a nivel mundial. Cuando las soluciones digitales son creadas en conjunto por personas que han vivido experiencias y quienes brindan apoyo de salud mental, pueden tener un impacto significativo. En la conmemoración del Día Mundial de la Salud Mental, quisimos destacar las colaboraciones entre sectores y disciplinas que amplían el acceso al poner la salud mental en el centro de la innovación. 

Prácticas recomendadas en el escalamiento del diseño

En 2024, el Centro Nacional para el TEPT del Departamento de Asuntos de Veteranos comenzó a rediseñar su aplicación insignia de salud mental, PTSD Coach, a través de la Guía de Diseño Inclusivo para la Salud Mental y un estudio de usuarios de participantes durante momentos de alto estrés. El rediseño tenía como objetivo mejorar la accesibilidad para las personas con angustia aguda, para simplificar las funciones y agregar herramientas diseñadas para la desescalada emocional y la regulación para apoyar mejor a los veteranos que viven con TEPT. 

El Centro Nacional para el TEPT es reconocido por su investigación innovadora sobre el trastorno de estrés postraumático y el estrés traumático.  Como el mayor proveedor de servicios de salud mental en los Estados Unidos, el trabajo del Centro es fundamental: casi uno de cada cuatro veteranos que buscan atención a través del sistema de salud de VA vive con TEPT. Para ayudar a satisfacer la necesidad, ofrecen un conjunto de aplicaciones complementarias de autoayuda y tratamiento, que empoderan a los veteranos y sus familias con herramientas accesibles para controlar los síntomas, desarrollar resiliencia y conectarse con la atención cuando la necesitan.

Estar donde las personas nos necesitan

La IA puede ayudar a llevar herramientas de salud mental a comunidades de todo el mundo. iWill GITA es el primer compañero de salud mental de IA generativa controlado del mundo, diseñado para servir a personas que hablan hindi y basado en Azure. En India, la cantidad de personas que necesitan atención supera con creces el tratamiento disponible, hasta una brecha del 80 por ciento. Desde su lanzamiento en 2024, GITA ha llegado a más de 40,000 personas y está en camino de escalar a 100,000 para fin de año, lo que amplía el acceso en la India rural y urbana con soporte para los principales dialectos hindi. 

En un inicio, iWill brindaba servicios de asesoramiento basados en texto a través del chat. La aplicación recién lanzada ahora admite interacciones de voz, seguridad mejorada y capacidades generativas que brindan intervenciones terapéuticas e interacciones empáticas y de apoyo informadas por pautas clínicas. En el piloto de la experiencia habilitada por voz, 500 participantes de diversos orígenes socioeconómicos fueron evaluados por medio de PHQ-9 y GAD-7, para detectar depresión y ansiedad, y ninguno recibió terapia concurrente. Después de cinco sesiones, el 85% de los participantes alcanzaron los rangos clínicos típicos, mientras que los participantes restantes mostraron una mejora significativa. Los comentarios fueron bastante positivos: 458 participantes dijeron que la experiencia se sintió conversacional y de apoyo, y 42 la describieron como una fuente de apoyo profundamente significativa.

Consideraciones de salud mental en M365

Microsoft Teams y Outlook ahora incluyen características diseñadas con foco en la salud mental. En Teams, los chats y los canales ahora se combinan en una fuente simple y organizada. Este cambio les da a las personas la opción de elegir la vista que mejor les funcione para minimizar las distracciones. En Outlook, Copilot Coach brinda comentarios en tiempo real sobre los correos electrónicos, lo que ayuda a las personas a sentirse más seguras y claras al comunicarse. Ambas características fueron creadas en conjunto con personas que experimentan ansiedad y estrés, para brindar un diseño más accesible para todos. 

Avanzar juntos

La salud mental es esencial. Desde veteranos que acceden a apoyo justo a tiempo, hasta personas en la India rural que encuentran atención a través de la IA, hasta herramientas cotidianas como Teams y Outlook que reducen el estrés en el trabajo, estos ejemplos muestran lo que es posible cuando diseñamos con empatía e inclusión en el centro. Al continuar con la creación en conjunto, de soluciones con aquellos con experiencia vivida, podemos transformar el acceso, mejorar los resultados y construir un futuro en el que la salud mental se priorice en todas partes, para todos.

Hemos compartido cómo los modelos diseñados de manera especial son esenciales para esta misión, y anunciamos nuestros dos primeros modelos internos en agosto. MAI-Image-1 marca el siguiente paso en nuestro recorrido y allana el camino para experiencias más inmersivas, creativas y dinámicas dentro de nuestros productos.  

Entrenamos este modelo con el objetivo de ofrecer un valor genuino para los creadores, y pusimos mucho cuidado en evitar resultados repetitivos o estilizados de manera genérica. Por ejemplo, priorizamos la selección rigurosa de datos y la evaluación matizada centrada en tareas que reflejan de cerca los casos de uso creativo del mundo real, para tomar en cuenta los comentarios de los profesionales de las industrias creativas. Este modelo está diseñado para ofrecer flexibilidad real, diversidad visual y valor práctico.

MAI-Image-1 sobresale en la generación de imágenes fotorrealistas, como iluminación (por ejemplo, luz de rebote, reflejos), paisajes y mucho más. Esto es en particular cierto cuando se compara con muchos modelos más grandes y lentos. Su combinación de velocidad y calidad significa que los usuarios pueden llevar sus ideas a la pantalla más rápido, iterar a través de ellas con rapidez y luego transferir su trabajo a otras herramientas para continuar el refinamiento.
